[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken during our Italian trip in April.
The Coloseum is even more impressive inside.
It would be an engineering feat to build it today with all our modern equipment.
It is an engineering wonder to have built it way back BC.
The structure attracts many many visitors each day.
The photo was resized for TL and framed with Photoshop Elements but is other wise untouched.
I hope you enjoy the image as much as I did taking it.

Hi Robert,

The classical monument of Italy! It seems huge (and it is...!)! I made a WS to give light to your photo!
Good effort!

Constantinos

Hi Robert,

As Constantinos has said a huge place and your POV has emphasised the fact. Earthy colours always mean more light. Con's workshop has increased the light and the detail. TFS,
David

I'll start with a small correction to your note, Robert: if I recall right the Colosseum wasn't built BC but AD ;o). I think it was started in 72 AD by Vespasianus and finished some 10 years later under the reign of his son Domitianus.
I'll be there in little over a month, and hope to capture it as you did - with very little people about ;o). The human element does give a nice idea of the size of the building, though. I think the shot is somewhat tilted.
Anyway, TFS.

ANIA

Hi Robert,

I love this scene of the Colosseum interior. It gives a good scal and perspective of its enormity. I'm not sure if the border and shading (vignetting?) on the sides of the photo is suitable IMHO.

TFS.

Regards,
Alvin

Hi Robert, A truely realistic image of this wonderful old structure. Good wide POV showing much of the large interior. TFS. Murray.
