Why does it pour when it rains in the desert? To continue with the rain series...
Thought this would bring out the mood. The fear. One of camel's worst nightmare...THE RAIN.

PS- Changed colour to this after tryiny out a dozen variety. Adjusted contrast, curves, brightness(Even though it was actually quite dark), cropped and framed. Finally got this....Hope you like it.

Hi Noel
Really great picture. Great composition & colors.
Very well done.

Excellent Composition Noel.

I like the simplicity of this photo. The colors and contrast are close to flawless and the darkness levels fit the mood perfectly. Very nicely done.

Great shot!

Excellent silhouette Noel. I like the colour and the framing. The composition is also very well done. Nice work.

Joe

Hello Noel !
Superb shot. Lovely composition and framing with this dromadary silhouette in the foreground. I also like the absence of the dune. The sepia filter is also a great choice.
Well done overall !
Congratulations,
Robert

Hi Noel,
This is such a great photo, that its in my fav box as I write this. The great dark color realy suits the photo and fits with the camel. Good contrast from the dark bottom to the light top. I do see sonething odd in the left bottom, but nothing big enough to ruin the photo.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Noel,

Superb composition. I like a lot. Nice silhouette, but too sharp, it appears in the silhouette a little disturb white line, IMHO. But doesn't matter, the composition is superb. Five stars picture.

Camel? We call him a dromedaris because he has 1 'thing' on the back.
Nice passing by here; good point in the view; cute and moody. The mood from far east.

So poignant, Noel. Lonely, cloudy, natural mood, with much beauty.

I don't know much about camels - why is rain bad for them?

Gayle :)

wonderful silhouette and mood you've captured here. mabruk!

Hi Noel,

How beautiful!!
I don't think I've ever seen such a xharming photo of the desert... :))
You present it so romantically, so mystically! Love the camel silhouette and the colour tones of the horizon! Lovely frame; it enhances the contrast with the image.
Very well done!

Oh, my God...this is fantastic...you did convey the mood you described in the notes...I am speechless by the impression this photo gave me, bravo Noel!!
M:))

Of your more recent, this is the one with the most visual power. The end result of your fiddling with adjustments and colour is quite a success. Very damp desert feel.
Hatta and Coata needed, it seems. Unusual sky for UAE/Oman area and you were there to catch it, with a very suitable foreground. Excellent.

Magnet for the eyes.....
Very attractive picture
Good choice for the sepia tone...
Bravo superbe...
Claude

You chose the right colour!! And I can see the wind too..soe of the camels furseems to be blowing in the breeze. So simple yet ...effective. Excellent work from you .

You must love these b&w, sepia sort of tones...and I thought that the desert is all about the sand and the blue sky ;)
