The name "iguazu" comes from the Guarani word meabing "big water." Indeed, the waterfalls (150-300 depending on the water level) on the border of Argentina and Brazil
comprise the largest waterfall system in the world. Upon seeing Iguazu, the United States first lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed "Poor Niagara!"
