There's only one way to get to the Tres Chimbadas Lake wildlife refuge, and that's by this tiny boat from Puerto Maldonado 40 km away down the Rio Tambopata. The oxbow
lake is snuggled in a rain forest and home to giant river otters and some of the most exotic birds in South America. There's a small lodge by the lake if you're lucky enough to find lodging. We were lucky. A "must see"
if you're into seeing rare and spectacular fauna. |

A very atmospheric photo making good use of the misty conditions.

A romantic and abstract poster it could go on the living-room wall, indeed through out of misty morning.... accurate details well done MICHAEL SHALTER

Hi Michael,
a well composed shot, the grasses in the FG and the little boat are nice and sharp.
There is quite a lot of noise but that adds to the misty look of the shot
cheers
