[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was our last day on the Inca Trail, about 1.5-2 miles from Machu Picchu. We had come about 26 miles over the last 4 days and could smell the end. Everyone was filled with anticipation of getting to the Sun Gate and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time. The trail here is following the terraces that they farmed on.

For PP, I darkened to sky to bring out the features better adjusted brightness and contrast.

I am still learning about exposure and compensation. It was unfortunate I blew the clouds out. I was in point and shoot mode at this point on the trail so didn't even think to use exposure bracketing on this shot.

Hi David
Although not technically a great photo (don't you hate when people say that ;-) ) and clouds are a little overxposed. Nonetheless this looks like an amazing place.

I love the POV in this. It brings out the massive size of these mountains, especially with the tiny hikers for scale. Beautiful background scenery!

Hello David,
Great point of view, impressive! Not at least the efforts you had getting there...
Pleasant composition, good diagonal... impressive landscape well framed!

Wow, what a sight! Yeah, too bad on the OE, makes it on this particular photo a little bit 'artsy.' I can't even imagine the hike, let alone walking it! Sounds like a marathon to me, esp if you have equipment, bags, water, food, etc. to haul. All points for the hike! :)

Great landscape, David!
Very well done.
Ciao
Gigi
