[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have learned so much from all. Thank you! Now I am so critical of my own work that when I was looking through the shots I previously prepared for TL I could not find any that met with my satisfaction... So off to the archives I went. I was shocked to find this one. When I traveled to the Galapagos Islands I had my Minolta Film Camera and lenses. I forgot that I also brought my digital Canon A95 with underwater housing for all the shorkeling activities. I have scanned so many pictures and the conversion from film to jpeg killed all the clarity and color so I had given up on sharing any of my Galapagos images. That is so unfortunate given the fact that I think it is the most incredible place on earth from a wildlife standpoint. I don't remember carrying this camera on any of the non water tours but apparently I must have. I am so sorry this is grainy and I know that because of the size it is not as sharp as I would like it to be but I hope you will enjoy it never the less. I wish there were words to describe the experience of being in one of the most peacful harmonious places in the world. Have a great weekend!

The Masked Booby, Sula dactylatra, is a large seabird of the booby family, Sulidae. This species breeds on islands in tropical oceans, except in the eastern Atlantic; in the eastern Pacific it is replaced by the Nazca Booby, Sula granti, which was formerly regarded as a subspecies of Masked Booby.It is also called the Masked Gannet or the Blue-faced Booby.

This is a nice clear sharp scan, the colours are good and the focus is nice and sharp, composition of the birds on the rock is great and you have great lighting. I am envious you have been to the Galapagos to take the shots of the vast array of wildlife there. Very nice shot. Best wishes.
