Dominating green color is the highlight of the show, Carol!
The bunches of green bananas and the fruit-seller wearing knitted green shawl, both add great mood to the picture.

Great focus and perfect natural colors in the picture.
I like an elegant framing which suits well to the scenario.
The sharpness and POv are excellent.
There is presence of a bit of OE on the bananas (in the FG) but that is just a minor issue.

Hi Carol,
A very sharp image with green dominating the scene. Very good directional lighting.
An unusual POV from the rear and a well balanced composition.
Great texture in the dress of the banana seller.
A very neat image, although I would suggest a little bit of burning on the bunch infront of the seller that tends to OE.

Hi Carol,

Good spotting on your part, the vendor's shawl does indeed match the color of the bananas. I like how you've placed her in the frame, so we are almost looking at her fruit from her POV. Including her also adds the human touch, which is much nicer than the bananas alone. TFS

Boa noite Carol
I love these images of life, I can feel the colors of a country...the way a Land speak...You are really special because you gave me the life from places where I haver never been ( and I believe it is harder each time more to go)...So I travel trough your photos and they move me...people and ...their way of life can be so powerful that the rise of the sun ( I am not very found of sunset ...it is a end...and I love the begins). The angle is fantastic, the colrs a pure call to the eyes....the light of life lives here.

Bonjour Carol,
Quand on me dit "bananes", c'est la couleur jaune qui me vient à l'esprit plutôt que le vert, tout en sachant que les bananes passent par le vert avant d'atterrir chez nous ;o).
Ce vert, précisément, constitue le fil... rouge de ta photo et lui confère tout son caractère. La vendeuse et son produit s'intègrent joliment l'une dans l'autre... Une belle façon de nous présenter un peu de "couleur locale" ;o).

Carol... You certainly have eye catching photos. Had I not seen your name, I would have guessed that this is one of your photos. I cannot believe that her shawl and the bananas are the same shade of green! Her hat draws the attention back to her after one glances quickly at the bananas. I like how you have her to the left looking into the scene. Interesting textures in her shawl, hat, and of course the cobblestones. Interesting lines too.. I like this one a lot. Lisa

Hi Carol!! This is fantastic. Love the immediate feel of Latin America that I get from this shot. You've composed this shot very well .. and of course I love the fact that her shawl matched the color of the bananas, and just the brown hat adding contrast.
Just over two years ago, I see. Were you there over Christmas too?

Woow, i missed this shot so far.
It is very cool the match of the green fabric with the bananas...
The image is very eye-catching thanks to the pattern created by the repetition of banana shapes and the nice greens.
I love these street markets with local vendors selling their goods in the road.
Great sharpness and control of camera settings, nice pov as well...

Growing up in the Philippines my grandmother let me used a small parcel of land to grow banana and sell the fruits for my spending money...it allowed me to take my girlfriend to our high school prom. This woman is selling bananas to feed her family. Very nice capture of the daily life of people. Sharp details and wonderful colors and saturation. Nice framing. Very well done, tfs.
