15 kms due north of the world famous market town of Otavalo lies smaller Cotacachi, so much quieter than its big sister to the south . Roaming the streets of this cute colonial little gem of a town i happened on this indigenous resident plastering an old house bordering a very quiet alley a few blocks away from the main square. The man with his long plaited hair set high at the top of a ladder was applying some plaster before eventually coating the large wall with fresh paint as most other houses along the alley had already been restored , perhaps another one to be turned into a leather store of which the town is famous for.

Excellent composition. The ladder make my eyes travel from the floor to the roof. I love the textures on the walls and the door, which I find very good that one is open and the other one closed. Great sharpness, colors and lighting. TFS

Unique composed. Works well. BR JV

Bonjour Carol,

Compliments
Merci de partager.
Amicalement
Bon week end

This is my favorite kind of people picture...a candid look at real life, unposed, unstaged. The scene tells the story, and you captured it artfully, with an eye for the composition and the lines and the balance. Excellent!

Hello Carol

I like the image. Great story of this wonderful country in the tropics. very interesting to see the old wooden ladder. Great image. TFS

Love this Carol. Your captures of every day life in these countries are also the things that interest me, and capture my attention. The composition here is perfect ... including the interesting doorway is key to making this shot what it is! The subdued colors are good too ... I like the little touch of color in his pink hat :)
Very well done my friend.
Have a good week amigo ... I hope there are steady improvements there at your house :)

Allo Carol....
Bye
Claude

Hi Carol.
I like the minimalist approach in this shot. The simplicity is well seen with colors so pleasing to my eyes.
Well seen and captured shot in tall frame.
I like it and kind regards,
Jusni
