A simple negotiation goes on between the vendor and her client in this scene taken during a visit to the Otavalo market in northern Ecuador .
Hardly any word was spoken for what seemed a rather long moment during , before or after the actual take .I observed : Was there any reason to , surely yes , i felt and reasoned that negotiation first has to be approached by assessing the quality of the crafts on offer , deciding whether it is what you look for and that you want it and then agreeing on the price to pay ( the most arduous part of it in my view ). I walked off thinking of using some strategies on my own purchases later that day. Thanks for peeking in.

Aha, Carol - this is a great scene! The POV looking at the exchange through the frame of the colorful scarves(?) gives the feel that we are privy to something intimate. Fantastic light/shadow interplay, vibrant colors and fine sharpness throughout. The long portrait format compliments the vertical graphics. Great eye to see and capture this moment. Excellent!

Bonjour Carol,
Une excellente composition verticale qui met bien en valeur ces tissages colorés. Mais le plus joli est d'y avoir inclus ces deux femmes, concentrées dans leur discussion. Cela donne de la vie à cette scène de marché. Bien vu et bien fait! Amicalement,

Ciao Carol, great composition with lovely scene, splendid light and fantastic colors, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Bonjour Carol

Très belle photo de ces 2 femmes entourées de ces jolis rubans colorés !!J'aime l'effet rendu par les torsades de ces rubans!
Bravo et TFS.

Artistic concept to have those colorful wares dominate the picture and use them to frame the two absorbed women,it makes for a very attractive picture.Greetings Otto.

I like very much this scene.. colors and the people seen just between fabrics....

good light and sharpness for foreground,

thanks for sharing Carol,

Olá Carol

Uma ótima composição que pelo cenário só poderia
mesmo ser na vertical...um clic certeiro.
Belas cores do artesanato a venda e um bom e
concentrado clima para negociação.;)

Hi Carol,
A superb POV to watch these two women dealing behind this colorful FG.
I like the vertical presentation with the focal point being on the women.
Excellent exposure managment even in the shadows.
An eye-catching presentation.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Bonjour Carol.
Une belle image digne d'une revue photographique.
Contraste et couleurs sont magiques, bravo.

Bonne journée.

cześć Carol !!

good living and colorful daily Life photo!
great work...
YOu were in Ecuador?
Superb country :D

beautyful and very keen composition, normally nobody would notice this kind of thing, could be a little more saturated .

Hola amigo, I see I've missed some beauties from you. This one jumps out at me immediately ... looks somewhat familiar with the resemblance to Guatemala. Fantastic everyday life shot my friend ... which I love so much. Great composition.
I hope this finds you well .. I'll write soon, with more stories .. :) Still trying to get settled back into a routine here, and am feeling a little sick today with a headache .. but will go to work in an hour. Short week too with Easter.. that's nice
Talk to you soon Carol
