Outstanding candid portrait; the corner of the building divides the frame nicely, and the man's posture and expression are great. I like your choice to leave a lot of space in the frame on the left. Warm colors, sharp details. Good eye to see and capture this image!

Another great one Carol. I really like how your shot includes the corner of the wall, which adds another dimension - another color. It wouldn't have had nearly the same impact without that. Great job.

Hi Carol,

Another terrific portrait. I like the traditional clothing of the man. He looks like a quiet observer just watching and waiting. It's almost as if you caught him peeking around the corner. I like the yellow tones of the building against his dark clothing. From viewing your photos from Ecuador, do the men and boys wear hats all of the time? It's something we just don't see in the U.S. (baseball caps don't count! LOL) Lisa

Very simple but VERY effective portrait Carol! I love your warm colors here. The space above him actually adds to this shot for me! Very nice sharpness and it makes the viewer wonder what he is thinking!

Ah...excellent street moment, with no pretense or hype:) Terrific simple composition and well-placed subject. I like how the man is standing on the shadowed side of the wall for his quiet watching/waiting...and his clothing and body language convey meaningful details. Well done!

Did you consider to post it in B/W ?
Why ? You would keep all the good from this composition
and focus even more on the " hombre " and what he's
doing ( or not ).
Just my opinion ;-)

Salut Carol.

Très belle photo. J'aime beaucoup la composition et les couleurs. L'expression du visage de ce villageois est impressionnante; on dirait qu'il n'apprécie pas vraiment ce qu'il voit. À moins qu'il ne soit triste de ne pas y participer ?
