"The Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia) is a small, long-legged owl found throughout open landscapes of North and South America. Burrowing owls can be found in grasslands, rangelands, agricultural areas, deserts, or any other dry, open area with low vegetation. They nest and roost in burrows, such as those excavated by prairie dogs (Cynomys spp.). Unlike most owls, burrowing owls are often active during the day, although they tend to avoid the mid-day heat. Most hunting is still done from dusk until dawn, when their owl apomorphies are most advantageous.".

Sabia que vc teria pelo menos mais uma carta ("coruja") guardadinha na "manga"...
Eu esperava por essa bela coruja de corpo quase inteiro, maravilhosa , com todos esses (belos ) detalhes que teem as corujas. Essas teem tido o previlégio de serem muito bem documentadas e postadas por vc. Maravilha de cores, nitidez (10) tanto das peninhas, bico e esses olhos maravilhosos mostrados com grande realidade através dessas suas fotos. Lindo frame, bem sutil.

You invited me to visit your TL gallery, so here I am ! :-) I discover here many more beautiful pictures from you, but the ones that I prefer will always be the nature shots like this one. I love the big yellow eyes and sharp look of the owl, the details ae excellent, natural colors, nicely composed, maybe a lower POV would have been better but I know it's not always possible. Very well done !
