General view of La Paz, Bolivia.

The city of La Paz was founded on October 20th, 1548 under the name of La Ciudad de Nuestra Seņora de La Paz (The City of Our Lady of Peace).

La Paz is the largest city in Bolivia. Surrounded by the Andes mountains, La Paz is one of the highest cities in the world with an elevation of over ten thousand feet. Officially the capital is Sucre, but most government administration offices are in La Paz. The high elevation means a cool climate throughout the year. La Paz is in western Bolivia, close to the borders of Chile and Peru. Being landlocked, Bolivia depends on the port city of Arica in northern Chile as it's outlet to the Pacific. A city of many museums and several universities, the Casco Viejo is the historic old city the Miraflores district is separated from downtown La Paz by a big park called the Parque Urbano Central, and is the site of the Hernando Siles football stadium plus universities. The southern side of La Paz is where the most affluent neighborhoods are, plus offices of international companies.

Hello Tsilla, the tight crop allowing no sky, gives a good impression of how crammed into together these buildings are!
All shapes and sizes of building, with the church/cathedral nicely placed in the centre.
Good DoF.
Tfs, regards Jean.
