Trochita express was one of the word's long lasting railroads.
It's tracks covered a big part of northern patagonian deserts, from Ingeniero Jacobacci to Esquel, for about 500 Km.
Originally was a miner train in south africa, but it moved to Argentina during the 1920's. It was operative in regular services,up to end of the 1970's.
Now it was converted for a short touristic service around Esquel city.

This is an old diapositive from 1974, by a Kodak Fiesta, scanned and b&w converted. |
