Pinus Radiata on the Golf Course

Pine trees on the Pupuke Golf Course in Campbells Bay on the North Shore of Auckland.

It was the first day of spring and I decided to go out and take photos of the new spring blossoms on the local streets.

I've often seen these trees and the streaky sky behind them caught my attention. And I like how the island of Rangitoto is captured in the centre gap.

Yes, I found many fruit tree blossoms too - will think about posting them next

Thanks for looking

PS This image looks much better in the bigger size on my desktop - sorry you can't all see it too.

Hi Janice,

I often find myself in the same situation. One views a wonderful sky, but what else do you include to make an interesting shot? These trees are interesting in their own right and work well with the background sky. Nice perspective and DOF.

Hello Janice :)

These huge pines look on background of blue sky magnificently.
Pretty, natural colours and perfect light.
Very curious framing, I congratulate realization.

With best wishes.

Hello Janice,

Your notes bring home so clearly to us, in the Northern Hemisphere, that autumn is approaching!
I like the strong verticals here, linking the land and the sky, and providing interesting details of colours, form and textures, between their dappled trunks.
It's providing you with great anticipation of good weather!

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

SCREEEAAAMM! Rows of trees? hahahaha! This is actually quite beautiful, a refreshing break from the usual rows of trees we see here on TL! I love the volcano in the distance. How beautiful! hope you guys are safe there after the earthquake! xoxox

Hi Janice,
Hope you are well! At the first time, I thought that this was an HDR image. I like this low POV showing the height of this row of trees against the sky. I also like the anarchic direction of clouds in the sky! This gives a great energy at the image.
Excellent work! Annie

dear Janice,
a beautiful perspective shot of wonderful lined pine trees and surrounding whole scene,
deep green leaves are well contrasted shining blue sky and white picturesque cloud,
this clean light and colors, and fine atmosphere are splendid,
thank you for your excellent picture,

Hi Janice,
a nice view of the 5th fairway, I have been in those trees many a time.
A lovely sky with rich colours

Hi Janice,
Superb view of this wonderful New Zealand's landscape with the Rangitoto in the far distance, a great view well captured. The light appears perfect to the highlights and shadows are fine and so is the clarity. A beautiful picture of your superb country.

N.B. Has been everything quiet on the islands after the last after shocks?

Bonjour Janice,
Magnifique verticale de ces géants. J'aime beaucoup la fenêtre sur la montagne au loin.
Merci et bonne journée.
