We grow these here too Janice. Beautiful! The center of the flowers and the backing petals are very sharp, and I like the detail in the texture of the petals. Nicely constructed shot too. Well done.

This is SUPER SHARP Janice! WOW!! Really nice work on this. I have a similar pic in my gallery, Daisies are so beautiful! How nice that spring is there for you! I'm impressed by the detail of the pedals! hmmm may need to get me one of dem new fangled 50d's!

Nicely done. I like the soft leading petals, exposure and focus are spot on. Nice use of thirds for placement of the flower's heart.

Hi Janice,
I see this is your Gazania flower! It is a lovely shot. It is very well composed and the sharpness is great!

I did edit my Gazania flower, I did so on picasa. I increased the highlights and also the shadows to create a natural but effective edit to an already beautiful flower.

Hi Janice,
The shallow DOF is a fine idea and creates a nice view on this delicate flower. The sharpness of the core is stunning, the pollen are clearly visible. Excellent handling of light showing the clear white petals without any OE. Great post my dear!

Hello Janice,

Indeed, this is a beauty!
Your exposure is spot on. The textures of the petals are clear and delicate. The sun has made gentle areas of light and shadow with no oe.
The flower is very well positioned in a strong area of the frame, with a blurred b/g to set its context.
