[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We were very lucky living next to a small Samoan beach village. The people made their living on fishing, and fruit picking. They even had a little restaurant where they shared the catch and served a very nice and cold Samoan brewed beer. It was one of the best travelexperiences I ever had. The beach was small but protected by a reef nearby with plenty of fish and most colourfull coral in easy reach directly off the beach. The people were very friendly and lived in open fales with the kids, dogs and pigs runing around.

Wow - how did you do that? How did you get the purple in the image?

Yellow (the lightest colour) and purple (the darkest, or nearly) colour contrast each other extremely; in this image it creates a very dramatic undertone and abstract mood. Very interesting photo!

Definitely prefer this one to the green bananas photo. The composition is better, the DOF is fine and there are no obvious distractions. The purple is very odd and gives the photo a strange mood. Main drawback is that the bananas do not look very enticing with the cool tone and the purple.
