[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bean Rock Lighthouse is the only surviving wave washed wooden cottage type lighthouse in New Zealand and is the oldest wooden lighthouse. Bean Rock stands on a group of rocks opposite North Head at the entrance to Waitemata harbour, Auckland. Construction begun on the Bean Rock lighthouse in 1870. The work was completed in 8 months.

I took this photo coming back into the harbour as the sun was setting behind me.

What I like about the shot is the overall warm feel of the setting sun.
Magnificent light on the lighthouse.
And the subject itself is so pretty.
A ship, far into the left side of the frame, would have been the icing on the cake.
