[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my dog Max at Anawhata beach

The Border Collie is a dog breed developed in the Anglo-Scottish border region for use on farms to assist with the herding of livestock. Their intelligence has been observed as having an intuitive quality that goes well beyond basic instinct

Anawhata is a spectacular beach that can only be reached by foot therefore is far less busy than the more accessible beaches in the Waitakeres.

Hi Tim,

Wonderful clear and bright shot of your beautiful dog. Max is very photogenic, as is that beach. I like the reflection of his legs in the dark sand and the deep depth of field that shows us the whole picture. Really super - give Max an extra treat for me!

Have a terrific day,

Perfect composition in this image. Adding the dog to a nice landscape really makes this image stand out. Both the exposure and detail are fantastic. TFS

The addition of Max certainly adds an extra something to an already lovely scene - hope to see more of him in other shots :-)

Exposure, composition, colours all strong and the reflection of Max is a lovely part of the overall image. Very nice shot.

Hi Tim,
A superb wide angle shot with extreme clarity. It's a real pity you did not included the whole reflection of the dog, but still a wonderful shot with perfect light management.
Composition is awesome.
Very neat work.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Tim,
So so have a new friend, well tou captured him very well, excellent composition perfect sharp a pity you didn't captured the whole reflection of Max. Anyway a great post my friend.
Kia ora!

Hi Tim,

Max is perfectly positioned and adds a real dynamic to the image and what a great backdrop, well done.

Great shot Tim. As everyone else has said, Max is a great addition to your already fantastic landscape shots. I like his sideways glance, and the reflection of his legs on the wet sand. Fantastic!
(my brother-in-law is a cattle rancher, and has always had Border Collies. What a great breed. I had the pleasure last weekend, of meeting the new addition .. a 5 month old male named Sid. So much energy, and SO cute ... but so much training to be done!)
