[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I saw this flower stem on a plant on Kaikoura wharfside a few years ago. It looked quite striking in the bright winter sunshine and against all the shades of blue in the sea and sky. The snow-covered mountain in the BG is part of the Kaikoura range.

Hi Martyn,
Excellent capture of this plant, DOF is nice, so we can see the plant in full sharpness and in focus. The soft background adds even more impact to your image, it's nice to see the beautiful snow-capped mountains behind. Fine posting, my friend! TFS.

Hi Martyn,
Perfect DOF and POV! This special flower stands out very well against the mountaines background. The off centre position creates a well balanced composition, excellent job martyn!

Hi Martyn,
What a great backdrop for this flower! Very nice focus and clarity. The border finishes off this photo nicely. Excellent shot.

Looks like an Aloe flower Martyn - maybe.
Looks good against the Kaikoura Alps - nice and sharp, and the sunlight brightens it nicely

Hi Martyn,
What a graat close up vith superb colours, light details and nice BG.TFS.

Beautiful shot! The Kaikoura outlook is always so stunning, you have presented it in a very unique way. The flower head is well placed in the frame, the metering is spot-on.

Composition of this photo is very different and I like it. Lovely colour and clarity in the head and stem of the flower and you metering is spot on to give you the DOF we see. TFS
