|Took an early morning walk in Wellington, inspired by the the heavy frost. Very chilly but well worth it.|

A clever full frame and crispy scene showing the ground cover of plants so equipped to maintain in icy conditions. The natural colors and shapes have been brought across very well.
Hello again Christine.
I'm toying with this one.
I love the reality of the shot in as much as you've given us a view of how cold it is over there at present, and the haw frost on the leaves makes no doubt about that at all.
I also love the truly natural colours you've captured, not to mention the natural debris of dead leaves.
What I'm slightly toying with though, is the point of focus.
Because of such a shallow depth of field, the large and bright, almost over-exposed dead grass leaf or twig that is coming in from the top left of the shot is quite a distraction, almost dominating the shot.
I think I'd have probably moved both that one plus the larger one running up into the centre of the shot and got down lower (Sorry....another belly shot, I know it's cold out there) to focus on the little pinkish/brownish petalled flower or leaf that's at the bottom right of the petalled plant, making that the centre of attraction for this shot.
The frosted leaves would still have been evident too, so you wouldn't have lost anything as far as the story you're telling goes.
still, a very pleasant and eye catching shot.
I have no clear idea what you want me, as the viewer, to look at. In my opinion, the image is very cluttered and has bits included that could have been removed and would have tidied it up. Having said that, good focus on the flower and good exposure.
Nice observation, great colors and lighting.
