|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Using the self timer I took this self portrait of myself standing in the walkway below the Mangere Bridge motorway. I have used this spot as a backdrop for other projects and thought I might as well try it for myself for once - doesn't it make me look "urban" :)|
Being a New Zealand born Samoan I used to find myself confused with where I fit in being born into a very traditional Samoan culture but raised and educated in a totally different system to that of my parents. Now with at the youthful age of 34 I have come to realise I fit in where-ever I please and that one thing being a New Zealander has taught me is that my ethnicity just adds to the mix and beauty of this wonderful country I call home.
So it's with that I say - Talofa, Kia Ora and Hello!
