[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I used a tripod and took this on a 30 second exposure to catch the light from the lighthouse as well as the movement of the water.

I like the dramatic lighting in the sky from the lighthouse, but for me this image has two big problems. Firstly you shot it on F4.5 which means that you don't have a very wide depth of field, leading to the foreground and background being too soft for me. Using a smaller aperture, ie F11 or F16 would have got you front to back sharpness. The other big problem for me is the harsh light in the foreground, leading to large areas of detail being lost in the shadows. Ways around this would have been to shoot it earlier in the evening when F11 would have given you 30 sec and with out the harsh lighting, or maybe it might have been fun to stick on an ND Grad Filter to cover the lighthouse and sky and leave the shutter locked open on the bulb setting for a couple of hours with no other extra lighting ...

Just some ideas ... some nice images on your web site!

Imi place imaginea..
Chiar daca este facuta noaptea, iar lumina este un pic..."speciala"..., a iesit ceva frumos!
Numai bine!
