On the 31st August I felt the need to take a break and made the announcement on my intro page, events which occurred in the early hours of the 1st September merely reinforced this view.

From my intro page the following…

At 0130 on the 1st Sandy was forced to call an ambulance when my breathing became very erratic. The paramedics stabilized me with a steroid injection and the use of a nebuliser and transported me to hospital where I was kept under observation until 5am on the 1st. Nothing else known at this stage but as soon as I find out I will notify through this section.

I managed to sneak onto my PC while Sandy was catching up on the sleep she missed out on and found this image which I feel suited the way I felt during the episodes of the morning. While dozing in the hospital I had some images continually flashing through the haze, this one lingered

This is Launceston’s first dragon boat a couple of days after it was launched and prior to receiving the bow ornaments. The ladies in bright pink are all survivors of breast cancer, they eventually hope to fill each seat with women who have battled with and beaten the disease.

I will be back, hopefully in time to add something to the theme of the week, I have the subject in mind all I need to do now is talk Sandy into allowing me out of the house..

Hi David,

Lovely shot here . . as usual you captured well the reflection . .

There is Chinese statement about health . .
Health is number 1 . . has beautiful wife, add 0 after the 1 . . has smart kids, add another 0 after the second 0 . . have nice house, add 0 . . rich, add 0 . . you will have trillion numbers . . But if health is gone? All zero will be meaningless . .
Please take care your health my friend. . .

Splendid view to the harbour with a good composition and great lighting. Excellent lighting. Well done.
Best wishes,

I'm glad you've got your priorities right Dave!! TL should come first. . . Yeah - right!

Please go and rest now my friend. Take your medication, and don't delay calling the hospital if you are worried. I feel for Sandy - I know it isn't easy for her.

You will be in my thoughts and my prayers

Take care and be good.
Best regards

Hi David

A moody shot of Lonnie, with good composition & a striking colour contrast between the bright pinkish red rowers uniforms and the grey monochromatic background. Good pov 7 sharpness. Tfs!

Marco is right about the moody atmosphere here, Dave, especially so with your note.

a nice composition, but please take care of your health as Tjutjut advises.

I have been in your gallery many times enjoying your photos. You have a unique style. This one is a proof of what I mean. Besides telling us a story, making us feel the mood, peace, and spiritually, it has a great composition and beautiful soft colors of an interesting place and people. The background boats look huge in compared to the boat where the boat where the ladies are. I am sorry to hear that you have been sick. Hope you get well soon. My best wishes,

hello David

The boat of people in red vest makes all the difference of this shot. And the river looks like shallow with sand bars.

I like TJ's statement on health. Nothing flows more smoothly than life itself, so take a long break but at the same time, study carefully what diet and lifestyle that can do natural healing to you, and go DO IT.

It is really powerful to see TL being a big part of your sharing. Get well soon, David.

tfs, bill

Good morning David, looks very peaceful and still, I hope all goes well for you.

Hello David,

A true addict!
Cannat stop posting photographs even from a sick bed!

Just joking, David!
I'm sure thinking of your hobby and your friends helps to make you feel more secure.

I love your misty shots, as you know.
I am particularly passionate about this because my sister-in-law had breast cancer, survived, and now is a keen dragon boat racer. She trains on Windermere in The Lake District where the boat is housed.

Look after yourself, my friend,
Bev :-)

Hello David
These hearty women give you the example of hanging on, my friend, as thier small boat defies the larger ones of diseases at backdrop.
Good luck!

Hello David,
Another great atmosphere and an amazing compo giving a fantastic idea of the scale. Excepcional also the effect of the vertical lines and his reflections. You're a master in foggy atmospheres, all them fantastic,, very sharp and beautiful. Congrats, mb

Hi David,
as usual the atmospheric essence is very well captured.
Mood is excellent and the ladies in pink add a nice sense of scale to the boats in the background.

Keep well and God bless you.
Best regards, Daniel
