I left it late to even think about the theme for the week, trying to photograph things in our kitchen would have been better during the morning while the light was coming from the East. One of Sandyís knives, a cutting board and a few crumbs and no flash, thanks once more to Tracey for filling in during Helenís absence.

Things look a bit dangerous in your kitchen David!...is it safe to enter? LOL

I like your presentation here, well done.

Hello David,

I like your pov, so the eyes follow the lines of reflection for a good impression of the perspective.
I'm so glad they were crumbs on the board and not blood!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

What a great perspective on this one, my dear friend of many faces. I like the reflection and the graining of the background. The crumbs are a good inclusion. Your framing is wonderful and the crop really good. I guess that makes this all good. Great last minute choice for the theme.
Warmest Regards

This gives me a scary feeling David. But I must admit it is an effective image for it provokes an emotion from me, and that's how I feel photography should be. The diagonal framing and vertical comp is effective. My best regards, Danilo

Wow David! Those are some very sophisticated applications on this photo! I've always wondered where people find out what the Friday theme is?

I'm sure it wasn't your intention, but the first thing that came to my mind was "murder weapon." Eeeeeek! :O)

take care,

I must stay away from this post. The knief is so close and it can be very tempting for a grab! Out of so many items in the kitchen and you choose this one...

I will just leave my smiley here and quietly walk away...

Hello David
Now I know who's Jack the Ripper!!!
I like your subtle decorative framing and the rear soft lighting that conveys reflexions on steel and handle.
Have a g'day.

it inspire me murder pulsion, why? it is more for cooking! maybe coz' there is no food in the photo, or maybe I'm crazy!

hello David,
a good contibution to this theme which unfortunately I did not take part in. I like your low POV which seems to give power and even threat to the knife.I also like the contrast of textures too.

Hi David
That knife sure does look sharp! Great use of DOF here.
Not sure I like the bright spot in the left top corner.

Thanks for joining the theme
regards Tracey

Good sharp presentation, nice framed.

Now I need a knife like THIS! HAHA! Good work on this David, nice DOF and putting the focus on the engraving of the knife is really nice! The crumbs at a bit of life to the shot! Good work!

Well now, that's an interestly simple idea for the theme, and well done and presented as well.
I like the way you used DoF on this, left the little crumbs and framed the whole thing, quite effective yet simple.
Nice one,

Hi David,
Now thatís a knife! Great shot with a low angle POV. I like the focus right where the blade begins. Well there are no blood stains on the knife, so that's good, right? Seriously this is a nice shot of a simple but large utensil. Nice presentation and good work.

Witaj Dawidzie,
I like your pov. Very good idea. You from knife made the work of art. it is suitable on poster. I thank for description.
Pozdrawiam - Roma

This excellent Solingen knife and the crumbs composition is something one has to think over... A good idea for a postcard to an unfaithful friend;-))
