[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today, October 25th, marks my 3rd year on TL, over the last two years I have submitted 520 images and deleted 123. My first submission, which was taken 14 days after I purchased the camera, remains here.

There was a time that I would load images on a daily basis but that has been reduced heavily so that now I may load only 2 or 3 images a week. With 3 years now behind me I intend cutting back some more, I may continue with the weekly themes or if I venture further a field to take photos in areas I have not shown before.

My thanks to those who have offered suggestions, read my ramblings and viewed my gallery over the last 3 years and to Sandy for putting up with my disappearing at strange hours in the mornings and returning 2 or 3 hours later.

Hi David,
Congratulations, that's quite a bit of dedication over 3 years; it's not just the posting but all the writings and pointed critiques as well!
This is very well done, with the very interesting sky replacing the fog of the original.
Nice details and DoF.
Good work and congratulations again,

Could you ask Sandy, nicely, if you could go up the hill shown in the bg and see what "The Tree" looks like from up by the houses in the background? One of the lovely things about trees, no two shots are ever the same but the subject never really changes. Thanks for this one, it seems we may be in for some wet stuff soon, I am hitting ants coming out of this keyboard.

Hi David,

Love seeing you back on TL and love your intention to keep uploading, I would miss it if you wouldn't.

Lovely photogenic trees these willows are and a lovely picture you made.
We have a whole row of them bordering a path for cyclists, however on one side they have made a square crop to prevend the braches from touching the path, and now it seems as if they all had a bad haircut.

I think I have seen this wonderful tree before somewhere, my friend of many faces. ;). It is pretty amazing how a change in light, a change in day or a change in angle can show a completely different image. I like this composition and the inclusion of the bench and path. Congratulations on 3 years and please keep posting.
Warmest Regards

Hi David,
My time flies. Congratulations on your 3rd year. It is interesting to note that we all have favorite photo subjects that we keep coming back at diffrerent times and conditions. And I can see why this willow tree is a favorite for its graceful symmetry, the cloud formation is quite attractive. My best regards, Danilo

Hello David,

I'm so pleased that you have decided to keep posting your lovely shots for us, even after 3 years. It does take determination and dedication to find shots that stimulate and interest yourself as well as providing pleasure to others.

I loved how this weeping willow could have such different moods; a reflection of the time of year, but also the input of the photographer. This tree is becoming such a favourite that you might need to put in an application for a double bench: one facing the tree as well as the one facing the river!
besides the tree, I must make a comment about the sky which is quite beautiful. It reminds me of sea washed sand, but with different colours, of course.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Super quality David and congratulations..three years??? seems like 10! You have made quite an impact on this little site! Can't wait to see the next 3?? B-)

hello David

Well, 3 years on and this willow looks greener and younger than the 1st submission. So what about you - similar trend?

Good to quit the bad habit with a strong resolution. You made a good decision now to get back your health.

Well, what a coincidence that you quote Bruce Lee, the kungfu master. "Legend of Bruce Lee" is now aired over CCTV1 satellite from Oct19 to Nov4, 8-10pm Beijing time.

Congratulations on your TL's 3 years. For me, 123 images deletion means a high selection standard. Hope to see 1-2 post/week from you. tfs

Hi David
Congratulations on your 3rd year. Difficult to keep up with good fotos when maturing demands more and more and sometimes you don't dare post something if it isn't better than the previous one.
My best wishes

Hello my friend David
This icon of your portfolio appears in all its magnificence, today!
Such an early foliage, compared to other trees at backdrop.
Beautiful sky too!
Have a g'day.

Hi David,

I think I know this willow perfectly - as well as the bridge behind it,. But I like this shot - the clouds repetitions on the sky create another mood - like it... *s*

A great concept to upload the same view three years on David.
A wonderful way to mark this occasion.
This tree is majestic and appealing, and the sky and clouds
are a superb backdrop.
bet it would look great as an IR shot as well.
Congrats and well done!
- Vincent
