Almost to the road crossing
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Getting back towards the road and the crossing that was put in place a few years ago. There was no culvert there until a few years ago and whenever we had a good rain and flood the State Emergency Service used to take a couple of 4WD vehicles to the far side befor the water became too deep and then they used their boat to ferry people and supplies across and their vehicles to take the people home or at least as close to it as possible. Now we have minor flooding but local view is we are due for a big wetting soon as we havent had one in many years.|

Sheesh! What a crazy country you live in. Droughts and floods.
Nice shot. Thank you for the visit.
Very good point of view here to show us the country side of Great Australia!
Captured well here
Your notes remind me of my first trans Australia crossing Diane. Back in those days South Australia didn't seem to worry about bridges over minor creeks and rivers, the road just dipped down a bit and you drove through the water. Another typical piece of Australiana with good colour and light and well composed. TFS,
