The only time you will catch me taking photos of a F*r*.. Sorry but not interested in anything unless its from BEFORE 1970.. Had a bit of a dilema with this one, couldnt decide where to cut the crop. I originally only took a shot of the tail gate on this old girl but tried several crops before deciding to leave the stars shadow inthe shot.Unfortunately the word Ford is just on the edge as that is where the edge of the original is.

Yay.....Fix Or Repair Daily. Pity they paint the name, if they dont like it you would think they could take it right off, they would still be recognisable. I like the reflections off the star.

Hello Fiona,
Pity the original did not include a little more and it would be interesting to know what the different elements mean in the context of the vehicle. However, it is a pleasant image to view in good colours, sharpness and composition. Best wishes.

Hi Fiona...I like this shot..excellent colors and perfect focus and nicely composed.

Hi Fiona,
A lovely composition, playing successfully with light and producing such lovely shadows. I like the blue and the silver star with such beautiful reflections on them.
A very neat and original creativity.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

I didn't know that Route 66 is known outside of Seligman, Arizona. I do like the off center of your composition. Great lighting and good details. Love the colors. Very well done, tfs.

Love the play between light and shadow, Fiona!

Great focus and well kept contrasts within the scene.
The sharpness and DOF are excellent, and keeping the route plate well off-centered make this work even more stronger.
Nicely spotted!

Kind regards,

Hello Wacky

Like the almost abstract feel here of an American Icon........Route 66 that is. I have traveled much of the old route (as a Child)if you can find it. From Chicago to Los Angeles. The views are spectacular in Arizona and New Mexico. OK, Back to the image. Nice advert for the F*r* We call it (F found O on R road D dead)here in America. They have come along way though. Just an overall image to study and enjoy.

Okay, you know I am a Ford man...

I like the graphic simplicity of this Fiona, I like the way you left all of the star's shadow in the frame...BUT, why did you crop the Ford logo?
One thing camera club judges hate, is photos with text, what they REALLY hate, is text that runs out of the frame.
To me, a little more top and right, the pic would be perfect.
