Another holiday snap fron Heron Island great barrier reef.

Heron is a true coral cay and wildlife sanctuary right on the Reef itself - a paradise for ornithologists and snorkellers/divers. Its 17 hectares of coral, sand, grass, pisonia, pandanus and she-oaks are home to many species of birds.

Hello Tim,

Wonderful composition!
I like very much the skyline, the blue and golden tones.
Congratulations and TFS.
Sergio

Interesting beach scene with the sand forming the waves.

I think it could have benefittet from a lower point of view though.

Cheers,
Jens

Hi Tim, beautiful place great shot, details texture and sharpen, congratullations

You were ready for this place. :) Plenty of practice on your home turf meant you had the goods to deliver a Heron Island shot that its tourist marketing board might be interested to see.

Awesome light, colour, composition.

Hi Tim,
Excellent composition, perfect POV well executed with the rule of thirds. The sand structure is a fine detail in this image.

You just get better and better Tim! This is excellent! LOVE the ripples in the sand, they just lead your eye to that awesome view! You live in heaven! Now why didn't I come there when I was young, single and free?? Who knows!

Hi Tim,you really do have an impressive gallery, has your images been used by New Zealand's tourist board? you have the beach landscapes down pat.I like all these shapes in the sand, some look like giant fish, trying to get to land:-)
