Beautiful capture of this "big sky" - the low horizon and placement of the tree on the lower left are perfect. I love the wide-angle curve, too.

What a fantastic view! Excelent idea, composition, well seen and done. I like the B/W version.
I would also have gone for the black and white! A bit stronger, especially in the grassy parts. I'm wondering a bit about the tilt to the left. Just looking at the verticals of the trees to the right...
By the way, are you happy wiht your Tokina 12-24?! I was considering buying one, or saving for the Nikon lense. No problems with purple fringing at f/4?
