[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took this picture last Saturday. It was about 4:50am
I love the colour even though is wrong white balance. I did it on purpose.

If you think this is early to take picture, there are 2 swimmers at that time... uhmm.. it must be freezing... I was in windproof jacket.

I notice there is a strong flourescent ligthing to the right lighting up the whole bath and knew it will throw a green cast on the scene.

I use the stairs and the hand rail as the leading line into the bath..

Tech talk:
1. Shutter 15sec, Aperture f11
2. Focus 1/3 into the picture, to ensure foreground and background sharpness (Hyperfocal distance)
3. WB: Daylight
4. USM 100, 1.2, 0
5. Resize to 800pixel for posting...

Critique and comment will be wonderful.

mmmm, i love the colour too. I loke playing with whitebalance in this way. It can give some intrestng results as it did here. Sometimes playing and getting that unnatrual look can be more intresting and apealing then getting the natrual look of things. Great work.

Very nice shot Hartango !
Great composition, very nice result.
It's sure, nice photos are often done early in the morning ... ;o)
Bravo !
(Will post it in my favourites)

Wondeful colors and compo, the sharpness of everything, and the use of these particular colors give it a feeling like we are in a different time or dimension. Well done!

good looking

realy nice shot. great light

Getting up early has it's advantages. The lighting conditions were perfect for this shot. I like the way you have experimented with the white balance, which has resulted in this wonderful shot. The colours are unique. Excellent point of view with the steps leading the eyes further into the horizon of the image. The sharpness and wide depth of field is also excellent. Good job, Hartanto.

Indeed, a strange but beautiful colour and here on TL it's no problem.
I like the way you used the stairs, inviting, but not your mentioned time...
Good shot, Hartanto !

really really an amazing work,Hartanto!!
especially the pure blue of the sky and the bright green at the foreground made it excellent, and the lines of the shadow created nice ,guiding down into water ..
what about crop the left hand rail, only left its shadow?i supposed it would be nice to let the right hand rail be the character...

That's nice, Hartanto!! I like the use of the hand rail in the foreground as it leads your eyes to the beautiful colour in the pool and the sky. The only critique is that the white fence on the right is a bit distracting - would have solved the problem if you step to the right for 50cm and again use the handrail as foreground but on the left hand side of the pic. Having said that, the pic is still great, I hope my slides turn out as well as yours. Shall see tonight...

This is a very nice shot Hartanto! The colours are just amazing and the photo is inviting....I almost feel like jumping into the water! I maybe would try to get rid of the white building from the right hand side (it si too bright and distracting) Moni :-)

You knew what you were doing here Hartanto, and it shows. I love the composition - the rails and shadows create a great lead-in, and the lighting gives a really interesting effect which contrasts with the lovely sea and sky.
