hello dear friends! seems like forever since i've been here.. i'm now in california with my mum so havent had much access to the internet.. not to mention that my brain is melting down a bit with all the moving plans i've been making and the inevitable stress and worries associated with such a big move.. above all how i'm going to get Bodmin and i safely from the airport in Rome to the town where we're staying while having to carry 2 bags, a computer case and a 15lb cat doubtlessly traumatised by 15 hours of travel! ... i worry a lot about this.. not to mention my own poor health which makes me very weak and fatigued sometimes and i want to be sure i'll have the strength to keep him safe and calm as well as myself until we get home... so all that's a bit scary... and of course i still havent called the owner of the apartment i'll be renting to arrange getting the keys because i'm so shy about speaking italian on the phone and am terrified i'll seem like a total idiot and not make myself understood... and this is all the more important as i think the owner lives in perugia which means i'd have to go there first to get the keys and then to the nearby town where my place is... all that would be stressful enough on me but it's my kitty i really worry about... poor guy.. i just want to get him to our new home as fast as possible and let him feel free again... after 2 months living in a cage at the vets and then all that travelling stuck in a tuny carrier... my little baby just needs to have a home again... so like i say, my brains rather saturated with worries right now which has also made it harder to communicate with all my dear friends and spend time here on TL... but it will all be worth it in the end!

oh.. and if any of my lovely italian friends here have some ideas or suggestions that might help me with these problems.. please email me!! Bodmin and i need all the help and advice we can get :-)

and as for this shot.. simply a portrait i did a few months ago which seemed appropriate for the title i wanted to which i added some glow and softness and a faded sepia tinting to express the sense of dreamy nostalgia that being back in this part of the world after so many years brings..

so see ya for now.. and big hugs to everyone ^_^

Ayda

p.s. i must thanks from the bottom of my heart all those who have asked after me and sent emails and written comments of such kindness... you're all wonderful and it really touches my heart to read such beautiful thoughful things and i feel so honored to think that my photos can touch someone and make them feel important things... above all feel that they're not alone in the struggles of this life... as i mentioned my access to the internet and ability to keep up with things is very patchy right now so please forgive any delays in my responding to your kind words... hopefully things will settle down soon and i can thank you all personally.. for now i thank you deeply here :-)

Hi Ayda,
Here is a nice portrait, very soft, with pleasant sepia tones.
Great PP for a good composition.
Take care,
Martine

Hy Ayda,
Nice photo with very good dreaming expression.
This photo dont need the title. The face say it.
Nice job.
Best regards,
José

Hi there Ayda, nice to see you again! This is very nice and moody self-portrait, thanks for sharing your expressions here with us.
All that white and glow makes this photo so calming, I hope you've chosen that "old" photo because you feel like that now.

See you around, take care!
Robert

Not much to say about this one, except that you haven't lost the touch! Another example of your excellent self-portraits. Great compo and PP work. Welcome back!!!

The picture, a wonderful soft portrait you have here with a peaceful expression, still a princess.....

A note (my god, what a long note again, I have more things to do here:-))) but, what a worries, what a worries ! Worries are created B E F O R E things to happen.....

Please, my dear friend, don't worry too much, such is life, please keep that peaceful expression as above and you will see: everything will be allright......

I like the portrait and soft sepia tones. Good use of the area.

Huge PB hugs for you Sweetheart and take care,

I realy love the softness you have caught, here, reminds me also of the dear sweet softness that we know as Chairaluna. Dear Ayda, I am sure the move will go better than you think. God's dearest angels will be watching over you and Bodmin...

So do I get this right you are moving permanently to Italia? Or is this just holiday? Wow you will be in Europe... not so far away... ;)

Well thinking of you and do try not to worry, positive energy will get you through and unlike bodily energy it is in endless reserve... :)

Love and hugs. I will try to post something today, even though I too should be doing other things... has been so long for me now too...

Yours with many hugs
Francis

next post will be titled "Vacanze romane"? ;-)))

...but not "on a winter's day" ;o). Take care, Ayda. We're looking forward to more frequent posts in the future. All the best to Sir Bodmin and yourself, have a safe trip to Italy. TFS.

A real cracker of a shot Ayda, nice to see you back.

Peter

Lovely portrait, Ayda. Your PP work is excellent with the softness and sepia tones.

As for advice, definitely mail your bags and maybe your computer case. One 15 lb. cat is enough to carry. Mailing really isn't that expensive, you would be surprised, and it would be so much easier on you!

Have a wonderful trip.

Ciao Ayda,
Che ritratto interessante. Sai, io non č da molto che metto le mie foto su TL e con l'inglese faccio una fatica incredibile. Ho visto sulla Home qualcosa a riguardo dei poster a cui tu hai partecipato. In cosa consistono?
Come si sta negli States? Tutto Ok?
