[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there.
Metered the inside of the dome and was lucky that the BG was not OE. No PP work Enjoy |

Vic
You did well to get detail in the shaded areas and not completely blow out the sky. I would prefer to the image on a more horizontal line but these tall structures are always a problem with converging lines (unless you do a lot of pp to fix).

Hi Vic,
I like the angle that you shot this at. Makes the shot pretty interesting. I understand the difficulty in the bright background, but it does look ok. Very well done with no PP work.
Regards,
Bill

Hello Vic :)
This architecture delights, you showed her perfectly.
The original, beautiful work in pretty light and colours, he looks very curiously.
You got the fantastic effect, I like him very much.
Best wishes...Barbara.
P.S.
Unpleasantly I, that it lacked me already points today :(
An interesting PoV at the Palace of Fine Arts Vic.
You obviously managed the light well, as you captured the detail of the dome as well as the detail of the view through the arch.
This place looks well preserved.
The tilt could have been corrected I guess, but sometimes an awful lot of detail is lost in the PP work that is necessary.
Tfs, regards Jean.
