We had parked the car at Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey California & was on our way to the marina & had not been looking out towards the ocean,so had not noticed this unusual cloud formation, for me it was unusual,I guess for the locals it probably was not,but thought it well worth capturing.Colour version in WS.Used Nik Silver to convert to B&W.

Hello Ron

By far my favorite aspect to an outdoor image. Clouds can make or break an image. You have chosen a great POV here to display the magic that clouds can give to any image. Nice

Hi Ron
Peculiar cloud formation very well captured,in a very well composed image with a great light and contrast.
Rgds., mb

Great shot Ron of a spectacular sky. I like the b/w effect produced by the Nik software, there are super contrasts produced and detail, which do not seem so noticable in the colour version. I do like the b/w version best because of the mood of the shot but I think I would have cropped out some of the foreground water. I can understand why you have gone for a split composition here so it is just a personal preference. Amazing sky, well spotted.

So strong contrast and b /w option...It has a dramatism visual ...and clouds make the great speech of your photo. ...for me I would prefer this B&W version...really sure about...the color is a scream ... the b/w have the elegance visual of scream.

Hello Ronald :)

These clouds look very curiously, how the eye of cyclone over this harbour.
The interesting, beautiful, very dynamic composition in the perfect light and they contrasting magnificently whiten and the black..
The very showy shot, I like him.

Best wishes.
Barbara.
