[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In reading Scott Kelby’s books and talking to some of my friends who are great photographers I understand that it is important to find the right shot and take it over and over again in different lighting and weather conditions until you get it exactly the way you want.

I pass this view every week when I go to work and when the light is right I stop to see how the shot will look. This morning at 6:45 it was about 25 minutes before the sun would come up and the sky colors were beautiful. I find the lights on the bridge make the shot more interesting and the long 30 second exposure makes the cars disappear.

This is a panoramic shot comprised of about eight vertical images taken with the 90mm TS lens seamed together

Hello Roger,

Hope you are well and nice to meet you as we are meeting for the first time here at TL. You are my neighbour this evening so my pleasure to post first comments.
Very interesting note indeed to supplement this extremely wonderful shot of high quality. Top class photography as they say, the bridge looks great as does the skyline and the moon to the right hand corner. Reddening sky, the reflection of bridge lights in the water and glimmering city lights in distance, what a panorama!
Thanks a lot for sharing....take care....best regards/Abid

You can't beat the 'blue hour' Roger & it's worked perfectly here, along with the pano format and impeccably sharp overall image...

Amazing result, Roger.
By the way: not a bad sight on your way to work. The only a bit disturbing thing imo is the dark spot in the left-down of the picture. I assume, that's a mountain or something you can't easily remove or avoid.
In all: impressive.

Ola Roger
A perfect sight...excellent view you give me...and I believe I see the moon in the top end . The reflections on water make it better...perfect wake-up of the world
um abraço

Beautiful night photo, perfect diagonal composition, excellent management of light

Hi Roger,
the shot looks great in the large format with lovely colours in the sky - I take it that its not possible take the shot from more to the right so you can get the base of the tower, on our visit there we only stopped at the viewpoint on the other side

Hi Roger,a really good stitching job.I like the colour of the light illuminating the bridge & the black of the mountain is oddly balanced well, with the small circular moon. Were you travelling into San Francisco or North into Sausalito?TFS

A fine shot beautifully crafted with great colours, composition and sharpness. Its difficult to see how you could improve on this one.

Hi Roger,
Great, great and great picture!!
a well done composition and presentation,
amazing tone of colors ,
Beautiful colors sky and reflection on water...
Great perpective ,contrast and light..

Hi Roger, I like the way the glow on the tower blends with the morning colours in the sky behind it.Fiona

Awesome panoramic view of the city by the bay! Love the lighting, it's almost like this was taken from one of those Star Trek movies. Great pov and dof with nice details. Very well done, tfs.

Hello Roger, always an interesting note, and todays is no exception.
A fine piece of 'stitching'!I cannot see the join at all!
All the lights are wonderful, in their many forms; the floodlights that light up the pillars of the bridge as well as the twinkling lights along the length of the bridge.
The moon is 'the icing on the cake'.Oh, and of course the reflections of the light on the water.
Many thanks, regards Jean.

A classic shot with Amazing results. Bravo :-)
