"The First Kiss"
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|My son was married today! And guess who was the official photographer?!!??! HA!... at first they told me no, I had to sit there and enjoy the wedding. But then Andy's fiance saw a wedding I shot a month earlier and decided that maybe it was ok if I shot before and after the wedding... and then she decided she wanted a photo of their first kiss.|
You see, they have never kissed..not once.... that was what they decided when they started dating. So today was the big day. And I almost missed it. The preacher did not follow the schedule and so before I knew it, he was pronouncing them husband and wife and I was supposed to be up on stage!! I ran!.... thankfully, the kissed long enough so I could get the shot!
**I'm so proud of my son, who is a preacher and a physics teacher at a local high school... the church was packed with his students!

I hope you got more shots of this very special moment from many different angles. From this angle, with it clearly being the inside of a church and with the congregation enjoying the moment so much, it really is a pleasure to view. And even though TL is about photography and not about people, this very unusual image is worthy of praise and of lots more points than I have to offer. You truly have reason to be proud. For a change, well done to the subjects too, and not only to the photographer. And best wishes to you and them.

Linda this is the best photograph I have ever seen shared on TrekLens and one of the very best I have seen in a very long time anywhere. Simply put it captures so much emotion from so many aspects, even from behind the camera. Of course, were we not privy to the story, we might not know that by just looking at the photo. We could surmise, hypothesize or imagine it and the photo could be just as impactful. You have captured a spirit, and I think that is the most important element that a photographer can record in that split second - beyond your typically excellent composition and technical expertise shown. Just awesome. Congratulations on your son's marriage and for making such a fine image. You must be so proud!

The faces in the crowd say the most powerful thoughts felt. A unique approach and posting of this special moment in time...this will stay in the hearts forever.
congratulations! What a personal and uniquely decisive moment. The shot is beautiful. I like that you decided to use this POV - it's different and ...well, excellent! As Steve pointed out already, the faces of the crowd are priceless! So much joy, love and excitement. I could study them forever. Thanks a million for sharing this! It made me smile this morning. :)
