Several times I have tried to take a high quality capture from Bird of Paradise but never got of the quality which you have presented today in your picture, Julie!

Good positioning of the flower within an elegant framed work.
Sharpness and DOF are well done, and colors are natural.
The contrast between the multicolored beauty and the darker BG is amazing.
Well done!

Best wishes,

Hi Julie,
Beautiful highlighted colors of the Bird of Paradise flower. Good POV and a nice crop to let us admire fully this marvelous flower. I like the light entering from between these palm trees in the BG. Perfect details and quite a neat presentation.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hi Julie.

Beautiful presentation of the special bloom, I have tried a few times now to take an exceptable image of the flower but have been saddened at my results. On the other hand, you have clear definition of colour and texture, good lighting through the upper petals and a solid dark backdrop, hats off to you Julie for this, Its one i would have liked to have taken. tfs

stv ;o))

Kndest regards Monika

Beautiful image and great photo Julie.
Excellent sharpness and beautiful colors, textures adorable and good light control.
Get my respects,

Hi Juliet, you have given us all the bright and beautiful colours of this exotic flower perfectly, and I love the way that it fills the frame.
The darker coloured plants with their frond type leaves make a good bg.
Isn't nature wonderful?
Best wishes Jean.

Bonjour Julie,

Encore une élégante composition florale ajoutée à votre belle galerie.
Superbe oiseau tropical! mis en avant comme posé sur le végétal d'arrière plan.
Lumineux et bien fait. TFS

What a difference to it is to see a flower at its natural environment and to see it at gardens somewhere else. The colors are absolutely amazing, razor sharp and clear image. Well done & TFS

Hi Julie

I've seen these growing around Brisbane and when it stops raining here I might have to try & find one. They might not flower here until September? Anyway the vibrant yellow colour is eye-catching & the sharpness is impeccable. Tfs!

Hi Julie,
Incredible vivid colours with your DOF creating an 3d effect. The main subject brightly coloured and yet with good details.Strong colour saturation giving a noticible contrast to the BG.Well done.
