[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I know it's Monday, but let's start the week with a smile anyway :))

For the past week we've had temperatures in the 100's (f), and last Friday a major storm passed through with straight line winds of hurricane proportion. Much damage and loss of electricity, which in the heat means many are going without air conditioning.

I stopped by the nature center yesterday, which was closed because of no electricity. Several trees down and many branches, just a plain mess. The dragon flies and other insects were flourishing though.

I always look for a perspective with good background when I take these shots. The other half is luck. Luck that you can get a fairly sharp shot and luck that it looks up at you like this.

Lovely close up macro on this dragon fly with excellent blurred out background to highlight the main subject. Lovely colour and detail, nicely positioned in frame. Best wishes

I like the pale rustic tones to this image, good detail, the structures of the wings is clearly visible.

Sorry about your condition, I hope you get your electricity back soon. I know about heat and humidity when I live in New Orleans. I have a cousin in Baltimore, I hope they are ok. And stay safe.

Missed this one. A superb decisive moment. These things always fly away from me when I try a macro shot like this. Good color, sharpness & saturation with attractive warm colors. Tfs!
