[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was in Sausalito yesterday photographing people taking pictures of their family. It was interesting and some of the shots came out pretty well. This young lady was their with her parents and agreed to pose for a shot.

The shot was converted in the Channel Mixer of CS5. I played with the aperture to get the right amount of blur in the background but not so much as to lose the feeling of the city behind her.

Hi Roger

Good b&w shot of a relaxed looking Erica with a superb tonal range & good sharpness & composition. I like the shallow dof with just a hint of the Oakland Bay bridge & SF City in the bg. Tfs!

Beautiful shot & Good Capture.........

Hi Roger
beautiful girl. nicely posing with the city behind her. fine PP work. wise use of B&W for a unique approach.
the wood poles on both sides frame the scene naturally.

Beautiful composition! I like your pov and nice framing of the city even though it is blurry. Good dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.

Ciao Roger, great portrait of lovely girl, beautiful B&W, excellent clarity and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Roger, the young lady sitting in the sun enjoying the view.As Tsilla has suggested, the poles either side of the shot are a natural frame, and help us to focus on the main subjects.
The blurred bg of the city gives just enough detail of the situation.
B/w the perfect choice.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Roger.

Wonderful mood associated with this scen, the girl looking out across the water, the sun and breeze across her face, such a perfect scene to be in B/W, it shows good texture in light and shade.

Hi Roger,
Another interesting portrait with a splendid landscape as BG. Glorious lighting, although, harsh in some places but well managed.
Nice highlights on the hair.
Very neat work.

Beautiful mood. I would love to sit there and enjoy the scenery with the winds blowing bring the smell of the sea.

Hi Roger, I like the way you have just enough of the city visible so it appears she is looking at it. I think the hand down on the plank behind her sort of makes her look like she feels like she going to tip off though. Fiona

oh my, Erika is beautiful as you show her and will probably thank you for this portrait. She couldn't have chosen a better artist is she paid for it. Janos
