Join us to launch Space Shuttle Discovery on its new mission to educate and inspire! In April, 2012, Discovery arrives at its new home at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly VA. Share your photos of Discovery as it arrives, when you visit, or share your own past experiences with Discovery. Discovery is the longest-serving orbiter, having flown 39 times from 1984 through 2011 — more missions than any of its sister ships — spending altogether 365 days in space. |

wow, this is very cool Michael ... you caught a bit of history here!! I was watching some coverage of this on TV this morning. To see all the little windows on the 747, you get a real feel for how huge this duo is. Great capture!

Hi Michael,
Great that you were there and capture the latest history on the space program. You captured it well with good details and exposure. Few nit though. There is a dirt spot in right bottom and the white balance is way too warm. Try cooling it down so the clouds become more white.

Niek

Good capture of this final and historic flight. Niek's recommendations are excellent and will help your presentation.
