[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot taken inside the Magic Kingdom, looking at the face of Cinderella castle, at, that's right, 12:15 A.M. The park was open till midnight. This is my upload for the weekly theme, "Repetition".

There is an old tale that says a well known clock designer had built a clock for King Louis XIV of France. He, by tradition, had used IV for four. When he showed the clock to the King, the King commented that IIII should have been used instead of IV. They told the king that "IV" was indeed the correct way, but the King insisted that it should be "IIII." The clock dial was changed to "IIII" by the King's request. This is possibly what introduced the custom of using IIII for four.

The use of "IIII" had probably happened well before the time of King Louis XIV, and this story is also told in in reference to other monarchs. However, one reason IIII is chosen over IV, is that it provides symmetry to the clock. VIII is the largest number on the left, and it makes sense to have IIII opposite side. Others say that clock designers go with "IIII" because it's easier to read.

PP work
I opened the image in Dfine to remove any noise due to my high ISO level, I was able to get by with the slow shutter speed by using my tripod. I then opened the image in NIK Viveza and added structure to the castle pillar and increased the vibrancy slightly. Finally, I re sized the image for upload to TL and sharpened it.

Hi Kurt,I like the blue hue of the castle,it helps make the other colours really pop. Very sharp & clear details,your capture of the dark & light background areas ,makes for a 3D look to your image.Well taken,good choice for this weeks theme.

Thanks for joining in the Friday repetition theme. Nice entry of the Disneyesque castle, No wonder they had a French Revolution if the kings were so pedantic! Good repetition of the turrets & towers. Looks similar to Excalibur in Las Vegas!
