[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, California is most definitely an iconic photography destination. It's famous for this particular view where the setting sun's light shoots through a cave like opening of a large rock outcropping on to the beach. This time of year is the best time to visit due to the alignment of the sun and the opening which makes it popular with other photographers.

Great shot, I am heading to California in March, and might just have to make a trip here to try and capture a shot like this.

Great photo, composition, colours and sharpness are also very good. It's little misterious picture. Good work

Fabulous shot, with really nice motion in the water and you did it without blowing out the light that is coming through the wall! Excellent cool to warm color here. What a sight! Would love to see this one day!

I'm most impressed in how you managed the contrast - nothing is blown out is this posting with 1/4 second. impressive

Olá Mike
In the same image textures and light works in a way very unique... Maybe there is lots of photos of this place but I haven´t seen still now with this one...and it is precious place and photo. I want to remember it.

Hello Mike,I have not seen this location before, what a sight!
The shot looks like two halves, with colour in the top half and monochrome in the lower![Almost.]The texture and colour of the rocks is amazing, and the setting sun lights up the spray and the waves as they rush through the gap.
This really catches the eye in the thumbnails.
I assume that you were standing on the beach to take this shot?
Tfs, regards Jean.
