This is a night-shot of Cinderella Castle, at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Here, the castle is shown decorated for Christmas. I was standing right at the edge of Main Street. I almost always carry my monopod around now, and I used it for this shot. I will usually find something to lean my monopod up against, for added stability. In addition the the monopod, I have a remote shutter button I used, to avoid shaking the camera while pressing the button.

My PP work involved copying the fireworks from another one of my shots and pasting it into this image. My firework shot was very noisy, so I worked hard to blend the two together here, as it most difficult to make the dark sky blend in. I also cropped the image and decreased the brightness slightly, and added the frame.

Oh WOW!! pin sharp!! what a fabulous shot Kurt! Amazing sharpness for F4.5 I would have been tempted to set up a tripod and all that junk, but no doubt people would walk in front of it and it would be ruined for me! haha! This is nice, excellent saturation of color too!

A very fine job in PP placing the the fireworks within your very strong image of theis classic DIsney icon. Strong, vibrant color of the castle.
Good job with the new 60D.
