Sometimes the most satisfying images are the ones you donít plan for. This image was taken while hiking in Hood Mountain Regional Park in Kenwood, California back in January of this year. The day was more about the hike and enjoying a new park and I really didnít anticipate taking home any keepers. came across Merganser Pond and noticed it was a perfect time for capturing reflections in the still water. This image was one of the results. Itís amazing to me how such small details in a large pond can be so fascinating. It surely made the trip that much more memorable. Thanks for looking.

Hi Mike,
A very simple composition with this weed emerging from the blue water. I like this creative presentation of this silhouetted weed and the reflection!
Very sharp and neat work.
