|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Northern California is very dear to me. It's one of my favorite local parks to visit as it offers both great hiking and much to photograph. Sugarloaf is beautiful year round but for me it really comes to life in the Winter and Spring when the creek and waterfall comes alive and the wildflowers dominate the rolling hills. |
Unfortunately, my moments of joy may be limited in the future as the park has been listed for closure due to a state budget shortfall. Luckily, local advocacy groups are working hard to re-open the park for all to enjoy. As it would be a shame for everyone including myself to not see this park come to life once again this winter.

A stunning result of this waterfall with the perfect Camera settings you opted to produce such a motion effect and a considerable DOF!
Perfect light management and details especially on the moss gathered with the rocks.
The swirl effect of the water in the FG is a piece of art in itself!

wonderful work Mike! I really like the flow of the water in the front.
Great colors and sharpness in the green and all over very nice details. I really like this shot.
Hi Mike, you really got a nice milky waterfall in this one.The swirling water in the fg makes me dizzy. Love the greens.Hard enough getting to sights like this without them making them off-limits. Fiona
