I took this shot, this morning, while driving on an overpass in Houston, after a major thunderstorm last night, the sunrise was to die for!..... spectacular. I love my cell phone camera... it beats the heck out of any IPhone or ITouch. I can shoot full format with it.... the only thing it won't do is shoot RAW....

Hi Linda, love the sunrays trying to pop through the top of the clouds.A lot like ours yesterday where the sky is light but still quite dark on the ground.Have you got any of the rain at home yet? Fiona

Dear Linda B-)

What an enigmatic scene you have caught here, and that too from the moving car, great!
The sharpness and POV are excellent, and showing teh scale of the scene very nicely.
The colors are amazing and contrasts to the ground are well kept.

The border of the window pane is visible in the upper left corner of the picture, just a small crop will help :)

Have a nice Sunday!

Best regards,
Paras

Hi Linda,

Great capture of the clouds and sunbeams, amazing that this was done with a cell phone. The thin line of golden horizon below the clouds is beautiful. Your compo is nice, with only a small percentage of land in the frame. Glad to hear you finally got some rain. The news said that a lot of the storm didn't make it to Texas.

Have a nice Sunday.

Werner

Nice! My mobiles (sorry, cells) won't shoot like this!! Good light, dramatic, lots of blue and sharp.

The only thing....... wait for it........ is the projecting item in the top left corner.... Otherwise a corker!

David

Hola Linda
Bella imagen con una iluminacion perfecta , de la que salen los rayos de luz sobre las nubes y con la parte inferior en la oscuridad felicidades

Un saludo
Carlos

Best sky shot I've seen.....!
With a Sunbeam as a bonus...!
Very dramatic......

Hi Linda,
A very fine capture with great light management and focus.
You'd be surprised on some of the shots I can get with a Samsung Galaxy S phone. It doesn't beat a "real" camera though. =)
Very nicely composed shot and for being taken on a phone/point and shoot.
The colors are very natural and is taken from a neat POV.
Nice job! TFS,
Kurt
