[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is the second shot of Steven and Jen a few months before their wedding. I think in situations like this black and white works well....timeless and strong hopefully like a long lasting relationship.

I don't have a plan anymore for conversion to black and white. I have used the Channel Mixer a lot and still use it frequently. Especially with different skin tones the Channel Mixer can be very helpful. The Red Channel makes people look softer, Green brings out drama and Blue brings out harshness....so changing the combination adds creativity to the shot.

The NIK software Silver Efex Pro 2 is often very good giving templates to start with and the ability to used sliders to change things like Structure which is a great tool.

CS5 has artistic effects and in many of my shots I go through all of them to see what the effects look like. Finally in CS5 you can mix layers of effects to combine anything at any proportions.

In this shot I played with everything to bring out a certain amount of softness and tenderness but also a certain amount of strength.

Now I do like this better than the last. I like that you can see his Tattoo! I like the darker tones, they are NOT looking at the camera, wonderful light here Roger! Love the tones!

A Sooo natural pose,I like the tenderness & love you have captured with this image Roger.Jen has a very attractive smile & I like the way Steven is holding her,in such a strong & protective manner.
Your B&W technique makes for a thumbs up image.
