|This was one of those rare moment shots when my grand daughter Valery was playing with my wife's beach hat. The light was against me as it threw her eyes (the windows to her soul) into the shade of the hat brim. I did not use a flash and with my shaky hand the VR on the Nikon lens seemed nicely to come to the rescue. Although it was an indoor shot the D3100 handled the 3200 ASA brilliantly I think with little to no noise. I think it all worked out well.|

A very pleasant child portrait. I often think that portraits in natural light and conditions are the more satisfying.
I can just imagine her as a grown-up, very nice picture that shows her at ease
