[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Red Queen and Alice is a small statue/sculpture at the entrance to our local library. My wife wanted to go to the library yesterday evening, so I accompanied her. I had my P&S with me, so I thought I might try something for the statue theme. The background in this location is not very interesting regardless of the POV chosen, so I picked one that has fewer distractions and went with that.

I did a lot of pp work on this. It included vignetting, partial desaturation, selective blurring, cloning and lastly the addition of the super nova. I was aiming for a surreal effect which is befitting of Alice’s adventures. Not sure if I succeeded or not.

Have a nice weekend.

unusuall image werner but a good detailed one and nice colours and lighting also well framed
tfs regards bryan

Werner, there wasn't a whole lot you could do to make this statue figure more impressive than what it already is. You tried very hard to make it better, but if you've got a poor subject, you usually come away with a poor image. Maybe lightening and contrasting the frontal portions would have helped. Maybe not. Good effort, anyway.

Hi Werner ,
A handsome try for the Friday theme Werner !here the statue is well separated from BG while the BG itself is not distracting may be due to your controlled PP work, nice back lighting on the statue while the super nova adds a beauty mole on your presentation.

Best Regards
