Let me be the first to congratulate you on your big B'day and wish you many happy returns of the day, Werner!
The capture is excellent, captured with perfect sharpness and from a very well chosen POV. The colors are amazing and the bumblebee is very well shown and in great focus.
The blurry green BG looks like a vast greenish sea, where this beautiful flower is flowing and the bee seems to be in its fantasy world. What one can more want from its life? ;)
Enjoy the day to your fullest!

Happy Birthday cher ami Werner!!!

Happy Birthday Werner.
I nearly posted a Foxtail / Digitalis flower today - minus the bee though!!!
They are beautiful flowers, always so strong and colourful
Good shot of the flowers and the bee - she is very crisp and sharp - you show them off well, especially against the soft green BG

Hi Werner, I see a few people have told you the name of this flower .. in this country they're commonly known as Foxglove ... Digitalis is the botanical name.
Secondly ... Happy Birthday!! I hope it's been a great day for you, and that you have a great year ahead!
Great photo! Fantastic sharpness on the bee and flower .. bee is well placed within the shot, and the colors are really beautiful. Very well done.
Hope you're having a nicer spring that we... we're in for yet another rainy weekend ... we SO badly need to see the sun.

Hi, Werner. Happy Birthday . What a great way to spend your day photographing in your favorite place. The composiion with the bee dangling down and the sharpness is excellent. Natural colors and the POV with appropriate DOF also add to the visual impact.

Werner, "Frohe Geburtstag!" GREAT macro photograph. In this part of the U.S. these are known as bluebells simply because they hang off the vine as a bell and are usually blue. Whatever they are you have posted a great nature photo. Congrats and many happy returns!

Cool shot with pleasant bokeh and nice violet hues in flowers.
1/500 sec looks like enough fast for 300mm, yes it is sharp, no motion blur at all.
Heppy Birthday Werner,
Very beautiful macro shot you have.
I have done a workshop for you to enhance the colours. Hope you like it.

I missed this!
What a pity that I also missed your birthday.
Happy, belated good wishes!
A superb shot of the bee and the foxglove upon which it is feeding. You have a good, sharp exposure which reveals the details clearly. The bee is very well positioned in the frame for a fine composition.
Have a good day,
