Repost, more contrasts and brightening..I like this better.

Ok..**deep breath***.... this is a shot from my cell. I had to do a lot of pp work on this, because, of course, the lighting wasn't good (indoors), color wasn't good (florescent lighting), I was centered (sharpest place on a cell) and the BG was an ugly wall (my office) I added more space to the right and removed space on the left. I added a vignetting.

So......the reason? To practice my pp work, so I made myself the model. First of all I did color correction and had to add in more "pink" in places as the levels were squirrely. I cloned the BG into a multi colored soft wall. I even added lipstick! The effect came out very "antiquish" looking and I like it!

Since I am an athlete, I'm a cyclist, a swimmer and in my life I have played softball and volleyball I don't wear frilly pink lace! My husband runs marathons and so we have always been a "no-dressup" family. haha! However I can and DO dress up, if I have to, but not today....and it won't be pink. I think this shows more of the real me.

I had fun with this and it was JUST to practice pulling out a so-so picture into something I wouldn't mind posting. No, I don't shoot my portraits with my cell, and apologies to Rew....I DID some work on my face, removing some darker circles under my eyes, smoothing skin etc....at my age (50) it's my preference. And yes, I'll tell my age, but just you never mind my weight hahaha! And yes I AM smiling B-)
Have a great day!
Linda

Hi Linda,
it's a good result and I like it to see your selfportrait.
The colours are very good and I love your eyes with the good lightpoints.
Very well done - I also like the higher POV of the camera, thanks and have a nice weekend

Well, you did an excellent job ! Interesting idea, I shall try it myself. And excellent portrait-so natural and full of life.

Hi Linda - as per cell/pick it is very good effect.
I like this specific sepia here.
Oh... don't we suppose use cell ph just for calling??? ha ha ha - nope!!! I remember these picks and send, pick and send from Niagara:):):) - good we can enjoy all this technology.

Linda, This is a great portrait from the device of a cell phone. It could be enhanced even further if one chose to do so. But from a cell phone?.... Great job!

Hello Linda!
It is a very good pictur for a cell phone!
Very nice portrait with great tone and PP work!
Best regards!
Lili

Hi Linda
Knowing your passion for motorbike , I was looking for a shot in your gallery and since you use your cellphone when you go for a ride I fell also on this portrait.I like the humoristic way you use to describe you; and must recognize you are not so much terrible and frightning I imagined when I red first something you had written here or there . I do like how you speak of yourself here and it confirms how we have not sometimes enough background to appreciate as we should do.
Here, as with the pictures of your motorcycles taken with your cellphone, I am astonished with the result, thanks also to your ppwork. As if one day we should not have to wear at least 3 kg of photo material to do the best shot ever done...
Have a nice day
Henri
